We are born with beautiful baby skin, but with the assault of time and the environment, many of us do not maintain the beautiful skin. However, with today’s technology, we are able to restore much of what we originally had through Plastic surgery. The word “plastic” comes from the Greek word “plastikos” which means “molding”. So, plastic surgery molds or shapes tissue into the shape the patient and surgeon want. Plastic surgery almost never uses plastics material in surgery.
Plastic surgery has two main branches: Cosmetic and Reconstructive. Cosmetic plastic surgery improves on “normal” parts of the body; whereas Reconstructive plastic surgery corrects abnormal structures of the body caused by birth defects, developmental abnormalities, trauma or injury, infection, tumors and disease.
Both men and women can benefit from plastic surgery to enable them to present their best appearance possible and to enhance self-esteem.
In the Adventist Cosmetic & Reconstructive Centre, we offer a range of surgical and non-surgical procedures. With our plastic surgeon, certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the dedicated staff in the team, we strive to deliver high quality care to you.
