Dr Wong Ching Lin obtained her Medical Degree from the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2004. She started her training in ophthalmology in Penang General Hospital, later in Kuala Lumpur General Hospital and UKM Medical Centre. She received her Master of Surgery in Ophthalmology, awarded by the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2012.
Prior to joining Penang Adventist Hospital, Dr Wong serves as an Ophthalmologist at the Penang General Hospital. She is concurrently a Visiting Ophthalmologist at the Kepala Batas Hospital and Balik Pulau Hospital. She has vast experience in treating broad range of eye conditions. Apart from clinical practice, Dr Wong is passionate about teaching and is an honorary lecturer at the Penang Medical College. She has been actively taking part in the teaching of medical students, trainees and allied health personnel.
Dr Wong was a recipient of the "Excellence in Service Award 2012" presented by the Ministry of Health Malaysia for her excellent service. In addition to having presented numerous posters and paper internationally and locally, Dr Wong is also a much-sought-after speaker on health topics concerning the eye. She is also an avid researcher, and has written and co-authored numerous journals which were presented both at the national and international levels.
Presently, Dr Wong is a member of the Malaysian Society of Ophthalmology and is registered with the National Specialist Registry of Malaysia.
