Dr William Teh is one of three Consultant Radiologists at Penang Adventist Hospital. His training and experience in the areas of General Radiology, MRI, Computerized Axial Tomography and Vascular and Interventional Radiology makes him an asset to our Radiology Department. He is the first trained Interventional Radiologist in Penang and the Northern Region.
He completed his postgraduate training at the University Malaya Medical Centre and trained in the Singapore General Hospital under the Singapore Fellowship Post Graduate Medical Institute. Dr Teh has a special interest in Interventional Oncology such as Radio frequency Ablation (RFA) of liver tumor, lung tumor and renal tumor, transcatheter and chemoembolization of liver cancer and interventional pain procedures for body pain.
He was the first to introduce the latest minimally invasive procedure known as "Percutaneous Vertebroplasty" for the treatment of compression fracture of spines. He is also the first to perform the latest non-surgical procedure known as "Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE)" for the treatment of uterine fibroids.
He has a very good command of English, Mandarin, Hokkien and Malay which helps him keep his patients at ease during necessary investigations.
He is happily married and blessed with two lovely children.
