Dr. Peter Loh completed his basic dental degree (DDM) in 1982 at Centro Escolar University. In 1983, the Hanns-Seidel Foundation awarded him an orthodontic post-graduate scholarship in Germany. He successfully defended his doctoral dissertation and completed his Ph.D (Dr.med.dent.) in 1985 with "Cum Laude" at Munich University. Dr. Peter Loh continued with his second Ph.D in Psychology at the University Of Santo Tomas Philippines.
Upon returning from Germany, Dr. Loh and his wife started a private ortho-dental clinic in Metro-Manila. He also served as a lecturer in the local orthodontic study clubs and concomitantly founded the first chartered Straight-wire Orthodontic Society in the Philippines in cooperation with the International Association for Orthodontics, Milwaukee, USA. His past clinical experiences as well as his teaching and lecturing experiences have helped him in writing his three simplified orthodontic books for general dental practitioners.
Currently, he is a visiting consultant orthodontist at the Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital in China and visiting orthodontic professor in dental schools in the Philippines. Other orthodontic study clubs and associations are frequently inviting him as guest lecturer in local meetings and dental conferences.
Dr. Peter Loh's professional affiliations include World Federation of Orthodontists, European Orthodontic Society, Malaysian Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists and Philippine Orthodontic Preceptorship.
