Dr Lim, our Consultant Nephrologist and Physician, did her early schooling in Penang and then pursued her medical education at the University of Malaya. She served for three years in Penang General Hospital as a Medical Officer and Registrar in General Medicine and Nephrology before pursuing her post graduate studies. Dr Lim obtained her Membership in General Medicine in 1993. She then took training in Nephrology and Internal Medicine for four years under the tutelage of eminent professors at reputed hospitals in the United Kingdom, namely: Western General Hospital, Edinburgh. Wrexham Maelor Hospital,University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff and St Mary's Hospital, Portsmouth.
Dr Lim offers specialized services in the areas of Internal Medicine and Nephrology. Dr Lim's experience at four different renal centers in the United Kingdom, three of which were transplant units, has equipped her to provide efficient care for patients at any stage of renal insufficiency. Her extensive experience both locally and abroad has made her proficient in the following procedures and techniques as a Nephrologist.
Dr Lim has great interest in the field of general medicine too. She is adept at dealing with complex medical problems and the diagnostic and patient management challenges they present.
Besides patient management Dr Lim has had many articles published in newspapers and other media. She continues to give talks to the general public and select audiences on topics concerning General Medicine and Nephrology.
