Dr Chew graduated from University of Malaya in 1991. He has been serving in Hospital Kuala Lumpur as resident medical officer in various subspecialties such as Cardiology, Neurology, General Medicine, Respiratory Medicine and Emergency Room. Subsequently, he underwent post-graduate training for 4 years in Radiology in the National University of Malaysia.
Dr Chew's special interests in Radiology are interventional radiology (hepatobiliary system) and MRI, especially MRI Cardiac Multislice CT Scan. He has performed many cases of percutaneous biliary drainage, percutaneous abscess drainage, imaging-guided percutaneous biopsy, and diagnostic angiography.
He was the resident Radiologist in Penang General Hospital for a year before he joined Penang Adventist Hospital in April, 2000.
Dr Chew is happily married with two children.
