Dr Ang Soo Fan is a Consultant Medical Oncologist practicing in the National Cancer Centre Singapore. He is also concurrently a Visiting Consultant at KK Women's and Childrens' Hospital in Singapore, and the Penang Adventist Hospital.
Dr Ang was born and raised in Penang. After completing his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Malaya in 2001, he served as a House Officer and Medical Officer in Klang General Hospital in Selangor. He subsequently obtained membership of the Royal College of Physicians in the United Kingdom (MRCP) and practiced as a Medical Specialist in the Department of Internal Medicine in Klang General Hospital, where he remained for seven years.
Dr Ang joined the National Cancer Centre Singapore in 2008 as an advanced specialist trainee in medical oncology, and received his Specialist Accreditation in Medical Oncology following the completion of his three-year fellowship.
Dr Ang has special interest in breast and gastrointestinal cancers, and has had the privilege of presenting posters at international conferences which includes the Annual Meeting of the American Society of Oncology (ASCO). He has published articles in several peer-reviewed journals.
Dr Ang is a full member of ASCO, the world's largest organisation for medical oncologists. He is also a member of the Singapore Society of Oncology and a clinical tutor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, Singapore. Dr Ang has been a recipient of multiple awards in recognition of clinical excellence, including the Klang General Hospital Excellence Service Award and the Singapore Health Quality Service Award (Silver Award).
Dr. Ang is fluent in English, Malay, Mandarin and Hokkien.
