Dr. Ida Ismail-Pratt graduated from Glasgow University in 1997 and obtained her specialist qualifications (MRCOG) in 2010. She had 14 years experience working in obstetrics & gynaecology in the United Kingdom and has come over to join the NUH Gynaecology Oncology Team working in particular in cancer screening and prevention.
Apart from being a specialist in obstetrics & gynaecology, she is also a United Kingdom accredited colposcopist working within the NHS Cervical Screening Programme. Her interests are pre-invasive disease, cancer screening and prevention including multi-disciplinary approach to care of women with pre-invasive disease.
Dr Chew Ghee Kheng
Consultant Gynaecologist (General / Gynaecological Oncological Surgery)

Dr Chew Ghee Kheng graduated from the University of Adelaide, Australia in 1992. She received her membership with the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 1997 and went on to obtain her fellowship with the RCOG in 2011. She specialises in gynaecology oncology, during which she obtained her higher research degree, Doctor of Medicine, on Molecular and Epidemiology of Adenocarcinoma of Cervix from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland.
Dr Chew comes with over 20 years of experience in the field of gynaecology and has been practising extensively in gynaecological oncology surgery since 2003. She had worked at various well-established hospitals in Scotland, England and Singapore before joining Penang Adventist Hospital. Dr Chew is skilled in handling all major gynaecological cancer surgeries, including radical hysterectomy, pelvic cytoreductive surgery for ovarian and primary peritoneal cancer, pelvic and para-aortic lymphadenectomy, ovarian cancer surgery, vulval cancer surgery and groin node lymphadenectomy, lotus flap rotation, laparoscopic hysterectomy, and lymphadenectomy.
In addition, Dr Chew also had the experience of running a one-stop clinic for consultation, scanning and, plan management for all suspected gynaecological malignancy. She is also a British Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP) accredited lead colposcopist. As a recipient of numerous travelling scholarships and bursaries awarded by prestigious institutions such as the British Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology, Dr Chew had had the opportunity to attend various annual scientific meetings, workshops and conferences, and also visited the Gynaecological Cancer Research Centre at the Royal Women’s Hospital, Melbourne, Australia.
Apart from having authored several publications in international peer-reviewed journals, Dr Chew has also given oral and poster presentations internationally. She participates actively in research activities and mission works. Among her experience includes providing colposcopy training in B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan, Nepal.
Presently, she is a member of Royal College of Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, British Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology, British Gynaecological Cancer Society, British Society for the Studies of Vulval and Vaginal Disease, European Society of Gynaecology Oncology, Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology Singapore, Academia of Medicine Singapore, and Obstetrics and Gynaecology Society of Singapore.
Dr Ang Soo Fan
Visiting Consultant Medical Oncologist

Dr Ang Soo Fan is a consultant medical oncologist practicing in the National Cancer Centre Singapore. He is also concurrently a Visiting Consultant at KK Women’s and Childrens’ Hospital in Singapore, and the Penang Adventist Hospital. Dr Ang was born and raised in Penang. After completing his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Malaya in 2001, he served as a House Officer and Medical Officer in Klang General Hospital in Selangor. He subsequently obtained membership of the Royal College of Physicians in the United Kingdom (MRCP) and practiced as a Medical Specialist in the Department of Internal Medicine in Klang General Hospital, where he remained for seven years.
Dr Ang joined the National Cancer Centre Singapore in 2008 as an advanced specialist trainee in medical oncology, and received his Specialist Accreditation in Medical Oncology following the completion of his three-year fellowship.
Dr Ang has special interest in breast and gastrointestinal cancers, and has had the privilege of presenting posters at international conferences which includes the Annual Meeting of the American Society of Oncology (ASCO). He has published articles in several peer-reviewed journals.
Dr Ang is a full member of ASCO, the world’s largest organisation for medical oncologists. He is also a member of the Singapore Society of Oncology and a clinical tutor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, Singapore. Dr Ang has been a recipient of multiple awards in recognition of clinical excellence, including the Klang General Hospital Excellence Service Award and the Singapore Health Quality Service Award (Silver Award).
